Master's Degree 2002 University of Northern Colorado Master of Educational Leadership Bachelor's Degree 1997 University of Missouri Bachelor of Science, Teaching Philosophy I believe that all students can and should be exposed to a variety or physical movement in hopes that they will be inspired and choose to be active every day. It is my belief that teaching proper tumbling progressions and skill development in conjunction with flexibility, strength and conditioning will reduce injury and build confidence as it applies to the whole athlete. It is my hope grow each individual as an athlete so, they may be better able to contribute as a productive team member and perform better physically, mentally, socially, and morally at a recreational and competitive level. Personal Biography I am excited to begin my 23 year of coaching. Originally from St Louis, I competed as a competitive gymnast for 7 years for Windsor Gymnastics Club, now Barron’s Gymnastics in St. Louis and as a high school cheerleader. I have coached all levels and ages of gymnastics, cheer, dance and tumbling from developmental through competitive. My past coaching experience has included Barron’s Gymnastics, St. Louis Gym Center and the University of Missouri in St. Louis. I have been living in Colorado for 11 years and have coached tumbling, stunting and acrobat at Premier Gymnastics of The Rockies for the past 6 years. I have been coaching high school cheerleading for 8 years, and for the past 5 years, I have been the Head Spirit Coach at Mountain View High School in Loveland Colorado. I have four children, all successful athletes, I am proud to say, wrestling, gymnastics, dance, soccer and baseball. When I am not working or watching my own kids participate in sports. I personally like to attend sporting events as well as exercising, photography, snowboarding and golfing when time permits. I look forward to another great year of teaching and coaching, and am happy and blessed to have this experience teaching your athlete as they are filled and fill me with laughter and learning. I hope to pass on my passion for competition, performance and creative movement all of my students.
